Thom Browne, BeenTrill Rub Shoulders for Ravelin Magazine
Wicked nun-loving Thom Browne, Mike the Ruler–approved duo #Been #Trill (shot by Bibi Cornejo Borthwick), and cult German label Bless are all featured on the virtual pages of Ravelin, an iPad magazine whose second edition is out today. The issue was produced by design agency Sweden Unlimited — which has done work for Proenza Schouler and the Row — and artists Jon Widman and Hisham Bharoocha. Widman explains that the publication is a way to spotlight “creative people we admire and want to support,” who come from a variety of disciplines. (The inaugural issue featured designer Tess Giberson and photographer Justine Kurland.) Issue No. 2 is currently available as an app download at the iTunes store, and Widman says they plan to continue regularly releasing issues.
