Eminem used this Mother’s Day as an opportunity to drop an apology-themed, Spike Lee–directed video intended as a message to his mother, Debbie Mathers, who sued him for defamation in 2003. He’s sorry for calling her crazy and all that, choosing to piece together a slew of childhood photos and reenactments — the saddest being his mother confusing a stranger in a hoodie for her son and trying to embrace him. This is totally one of those non-apology apologies.
