Not only does Tom Cruise die repeatedly in Edge of Tomorrow, but it turns out that he almost died once on set as well. On Conan Wednesday, Emily Blunt told a story about how she crashed a stunt car into a tree while Tom Cruise was in the passenger seat, after not heeding his instructions to brake on time. Still, it sounds like Cruise didn’t get too upset about the near-death experience. “He was actually laughing,†said Blunt. “And I told him, I said, I thought you were being so annoying when you told me to say brake, and I apologize.†So yeah, she’ll probably never work in this town again.
