We reported in April that Judd Apatow is releasing a book of interviews he’s conducted with famous comedians, and a partial list of guests for the book has just been announced via The NY Times. Set for a 2015 release, the book is called Sick in the Head (named after a rejected Fox pilot Apatow made back in 1999) and it will feature interviews with Mel Brooks, Jerry Seinfeld, Chris Rock, Lena Dunham, Louis C.K., Amy Schumer, Roseanne Barr, Steve Allen, Jay Leno, Spike Jonze, and more for a total of about 25 interviews. The interviews have been sporadically conducted over the last 30 years, starting when Apatow was 16 years old as a high school student who interviewed his comedy idols like Seinfeld, Harold Ramis, and John Candy for his campus radio show. Sick in the Head is Apatow’s second book, following a 2011 collection of humor pieces he edited called I Found This Funny.
