Deadline reports that Showtime is developing an as-yet-untitled drama produced by Robert Downey Jr. and written by Orange Is the New Black and Justified scribe Gary Lennon. Downey’s production banner, Team Downey, will produce alongside Lennon and Sony Pictures TV. The drama is set in 1983 and follows a rehab community in Venice Beach “where drugs and alcohol have always been part of the local culture.†We look forward to seeing what Downey pulls out of his, uh, imagination.
