Tonight the fashion crowd assembles for the 2014 CFDA Awards, one of the biggest fashion events of the year. Considered a follow-up to the Met Gala — a kind of fashion prom — it’s basically an excuse to celebrate the best and the brightest of the industry this year. Presenter Lupita Nyong’o braved graphic shorts, while Rihanna was covered in transparent sparkly mesh to accept Style Icon of the Year, making for a sartorially entertaining evening.
