Oh, Hugh. Tonight’s Tony Awards kicked off with a slightly surreal opening number wherein host Hugh Jackman hopped up and down while making the rounds with various nominees and affiliated Broadway personalities, and it was very charming indeed. Of course, he capped it off with a little song and dance, because he’s Hugh Jackman. (We also got our first glimpse of Clint Eastwood, who did far better in this bit than he did in his bizarre, rambling, award-presenting stint later on.) Watch, listen, bask, jump, enjoy.
