Exclusive: Dover Street Market’s New Look
Dover Street Market — New York’s pick for Best Conceptual Store of the year — tends to do things a bit differently from other retailers. For one thing, the store undergoes periodic transformations, and over the weekend, its New York branch underwent what it’s calling a “new beginning.” The mini-makeover includes new designers and exclusives: For example, the ground floor is now showcasing Brit up-and-comer Phoebe English, in a space designed by English herself. Also on the docket: revamped Prada and Nike sections, and the addition of two new-to-DSM labels: Hood by Air and Melitta Baumeister. As for new merchandise in the store, shoppers can look forward to pieces from Riccardo Tisci’s R.T. collection for Nike, Kanye’s A.P.C. collab, and shoes from Adidas’s linkups with Raf Simons and Rick Owens.
