The good news is Larry David wants to do more Curb Your Enthusiasm. The bad news is that he’s not getting started any time soon. The last new episode of the show aired back in 2011 when season eight concluded, and instead of doing another quickly, David wrote and starred in the very Curb-like TV movie Clear History. (It was pretty, pretty, pretty good!)
Fortunately, David’s not done with the show just yet. HBO programming president Michael Lombardo told reporters at the network’s summer press tour session today that the two recently bumped into each other at an event where David told Lombardo about his plans for the rest of the year. Those plans did not include more Curb.
“I said, ‘So, David, should I emotionally get Curb out of my head?’ And he goes, ‘No, no, no, no, no,’†Lombardo said. HBO’s willing to be patient. “As long as he’s thinking about it, we still have a place for it.â€
