This weekend, David Gilmour’s wife Polly Samson tweeted that a new Pink Floyd album was going to come out in October, and people were in a tizzy. Now the band has confirmed they will release their first record of new material in 20 years, entitled The Endless River. They are saying the album will mainly be “ambient and instrumental music†that came out of the recording sessions for 1994’s Division Bell. The album will feature David Gilmour, Nick Mason, and, most notably, Richard Wright, who passed away in 2008. Considering when it was recorded, it is rumored to perfectly line up with the TV show Oz. Though, we guess, ambient instrumental music would line up with mostly anything.
