This Week, Meryl Streep and Taylor Swift Celebrated Literature

Kicking off with the New York premiere of the much-anticipated film adaptation of The Giver, this week was a big one for literature appreciation. For the occasion, cast members Taylor Swift and Katie Holmes both donned their most feminine ballet pinks (Monique Lhuillier and Zac Posen, respectively), while Meryl Streep and Jeff Bridges chummed around together at the after-party. On the other coast, happy-couple Jason Biggs and Jenny Mollen attended a signing at an iconic L.A. bookstore for her new essay collection, while across the Atlantic, Alexa Chung continued to promote her perplexingly titled book, It.
Out in the Hamptons, Natalie Massenet and Lincoln Pilcher hosted cocktails and badminton for the fashion set, and Julianne Moore brought her suddenly very grown up looking daughter, Liv, to a Children’s Health Fund benefit.
