I honestly couldn’t think of a better person to cover Bow Wow Wow’s 1982 cover (the original was done by the Strangeloves in 1965!) than Charli XCX. It’s got that wholesome, pure-pop beat that the singer-songwriter must respect. I mean, have you heard “I Love It� (Aaron Carter, who covered “Candy†in 2000, could not be reached for comment.)
