Earlier today, TMZ reported that Kenan Thompson would be leaving SNL after this season, citing sources who claim that Thompson planned to leave after last season but stayed on as a favor to Lorne Michaels. Its report continued by saying that Thompson plans to move to L.A. and is in talks for a new show. Yet an SNL spokesperson called TMZ’s report “incredibly inaccurate,†adding, “The season hasn’t even started and cast decisions aren’t made until the end of the season.â€
