See How Tommy Hilfiger’s Elaborate Set Came Together

The Tommy Hilfiger show preparation began last week, with the empty Park Avenue Armory on 66th Street. Four days and 130,000 flower stems later, it was transformed into a ‘60s-era music festival complete with blooming garden. “We wanted it to be a full circle. The clothes, the set, the soundtrack, the invitations, the ambience,” the designer explained backstage today. “We need to take you somewhere. We’ve taken you to Malibu, we’ve taken you to the mountains; now we’re going to take you to a music festival, with the 1960s and early 1970s as the inspiration.” Click through the slideshow to see the details of the set, masterminded by designer Randall Peacock.
