Katy Perry popped up on ESPN’s College GameDay this weekend, hung out with hosts Lee Corso and Chris Fowler, made some sports predictions (“by their colorsâ€), and sorta denied, sorta confirmed Super Bowl rumors: “I have let them know that I’m not the type of girl that would pay to play the Super Bowl, so the ball is in their field.†She’s referring to The Wall Street Journal’s report that this year would be the first the NFL would ask for artists to pay to play the Halftime Show — a request that they’ve put out to Coldplay, Rihanna, and Perry. Are we being thrown for a loop here? Perry is the perfect Super Bowl candidate: She’s got the recent tour choreography, a new album, the big hits (cues medley), and, clearly, a love of sports. Also, like she said: It’s up to them. This could still happen.
