The NFL and NBC confirmed Sunday that Katy Perry will in fact headline the Super Bowl 49 halftime show. Perry tweeted that she has already started testing ideas for her act, and, in a video produced by halftime-show sponsor Pepsi, unveiled a sneak peek of what to expect: bacon, innovative glitter, fire-breathing sharks, and, naturally, Kitty Purries. There’s also mention of a time machine and special guest. Last year’s Super Bowl drew a record 111.5 million viewers, according to Variety, a feat that made both the game and its musical performance the most-watched TV event in history. This season’s game and show take place February 1, in Arizona, and will be broadcast worldwide.
