‘The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore’ Premieres on Comedy Central January 19th

Larry Wilmore’s upcoming Comedy Central show just got a new title and premiere date. Now called The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore, the show will take over The Colbert Report’s 11:30pm time slot beginning Monday, January 19th. Wilmore told The New York Times that the name change was due to “brand confusion� and explained that it “was never intended to be a show only about minorities. It’s a show about underdogs, and that happens in a lot of different forms, whether it’s race, gender, or whatever.�
