David Ehrlich is not just a new film critic at Time Out New York; he is also, judging by his annual supercut of his 25 favorite movies of the year, a masterful editor. As always, this year’s montage, which Ehrlich produced for the film journal Little White Lies, is scored by a selection of notable music from the year in cinema and, also as always, Ehrlich’s unique taste makes for some peculiar juxtapositions.
