As many of you know, the MTA is attempting to crack down on the widespread epidemic known as “manspreading†through a public awareness campaign on its subways. But do you need to follow the rules if no one around you seems to be bothered by your oafish habits? Here, then, is a photo published by the London Evening Standard, featuring Tom Hanks sitting — no, practically lounging — across two subway seats. Normally, the internet/we would lather in fury at such entitlement, but since there do not seem to be any pregnant women, elderly folks, or many people at all nearby, we’re judging this a good sit.
