Grammy winner and Tony nominee Andrew Rannells has a new movie in the works. According to Deadline, Universal Pictures has put into development an untitled comedy that will be co-written by Rannells and Jersey Boys’ Mike Doyle with Rannells potentially attached to star. Details on the film are being kept under wraps, but Judd Apatow is expected to produce. In addition to his Broadway work on The Book of Mormon, Jersey Boys, and Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Rannells has appeared in plenty of TV comedies like Girls, How I Met Your Mother, Comedy Bang! Bang!, and Glee, and he’s slated to debut his first major movie role in the upcoming film The Intern starring Anne Hathaway and Robert De Niro.
