According to The Wrap, Spike Lee’s wife Tonya Lewis Lee is producing a remake of the 1999 teen comedy originally starring Freddie Prinze Jr., Rachael Leigh Cook, and Paul Walker with Kenny Leon onboard to direct. The plot will be similar to the original film and is currently being developed “with diverse leads in mind.” Between She’s All That’s big screen remake and revivals of Full House, Coach, and Mr. Show on the way, 2015 is turning out to be a very productive year for ‘90s comedies.
