Jason Alexander to might be Adult Swim’s next star. THR reports that Alexander has signed on to star in a quarter-hour live-action pilot by Adam Lustick (Harvard Sailing Team, The Office, Silicon Valley). The untitled pilot will follow Alexander as “an award-winning psychotherapist who snaps one day and his therapy with his patients becomes more and more bizarre. However, he’s such a celebrated doctor that his peers are reluctant to question his strange and unconventional methods.†If the pilot goes to series, it will make Alexander’s first TV comedy starring role since the short-lived 2004 CBS series Listen Up. Since then he’s appeared on a couple comedies (China, IL, Community, and Comedy Bang! Bang!), but his recent career has focused more on theater and television directing (Everybody Hates Chris, Criminal Minds, Mike & Molly).
