With David Letterman wrapping up, it seems like everyone is in a race to have him be the wind beneath their wings, Bette Midler style. Not counting the musicians who have been playing requests for Letterman, Amy Sedaris sang a tribute, Billy Crystal sang a tribute, Nathan Lane sang a tribute, and now Martin Short sang a tribute. Short’s was the best because he’s the best, but we’re pretty sure we’re good with half-ironic tributes. Well, at least until Bill Murray comes on.
