Amy Schumer sat down for an interview on The Howard Stern Show this morning, where she explained the recent news that she turned down hosting The Daily Show. Schumer told Stern that she took a few meetings (including a pizza date with Jon Stewart) but ultimately decided against the gig because she didn’t think it was right for her. “For this, it felt like it would be betting against myself, like ‘Okay, well this way I’m secure and I know I’ll make this and I’ll have this job,’†she said. “But I’m like ‘No, I’m gonna bet on myself that I can do more.’â€
