Black-ish creator Kenya Barris is reteaming with his fellow Barbershop 3 writer Tracy Oliver to co-write a new movie for Universal. According to THR, the duo will write an untitled comedy centered around a girl trip with Barbershop 3’s Malcolm D. Lee attached to direct and Ride Along’s Will Packer attached to produce. No plot details have been revealed, but Barris and Oliver’s script will rework an original draft by South Park and Marry Me writer Erica Rivinoja.
