A24 posted the latest trailer for Gilles Paquet-Brenner’s Dark Places (based on Gillian Flynn’s 2009 novel), and everybody in this thing is either creepy or allergic to the truth or a bad combination of both. At least Charlize Theron’s character thinks so. Inclined to agree. Although you might already be fairly well acquainted with the Kill Club, the beginning of this clip sheds more light on the freaky brother and Satanic cult hysteria that lurk in the story. Drama!
If you’re into the trailer, Deadline reports that you can actually watch the whole shebang now — provided you or someone you know has DirecTV. The TV company is offering the film to its customers exclusively for the next seven weeks, before A24 begins the movie’s theatrical rollout. Enjoy.
