T.J. Miller didn’t expect to take home a Critics’ Choice award last night, but when his name was announced as winner of Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for his role on Silicon Valley he stuffed his mouth with food, made his way to the podium, and delivered the kind of impromptu T.J. Miller acceptance speech that rivals some of his most delightfully weird talk show appearances: “I would say that awards are for children because children need a tangible representation of their achievement, whereas adults should settle for the respect and admiration of their peers. But what do I know? I mean, I just play an arrogant blowhard who says whatever the fuck he wants to.â€
