Without addressing the allegations against Bill Cosby directly, President Obama Wednesday all but called the comedian a rapist during a White House press conference. Asked at a news conference whether he believes Cosby should be stripped of the Medal of Freedom he was awarded back in 2002, Obama initially sidestepped the issue by saying he doesn’t comment on cases where there might yet be criminal or civil charges and that he wasn’t even sure how the medal could be taken away. “There’s no precedent for revoking a medal. We don’t have that mechanism,†the president said. But then, days after news broke that Cosby admitted to purchasing pills with the intent of giving the pills to women before sex, Obama said this: “If you give a woman, or a man, for that matter, a drug and then have sex with that person without consent? That’s rape. And I think this country, or any civilized country, should have no tolerance for rape.â€
