Chris Evans can do lots of things other than get swoll and save America. He’s really just a sweet, tender lamb who’s sick of fame and likes movies that “capture little moments.†To prove it, his directorial debut, Before We Go, is full of such little moments. Evans plays a busker and Alice Eve a woman who got her purse stolen and finds herself stranded in New York City. Obviously, Evans’s superhero instincts still kick in, and he offers to help her for the night. Welcome, Captain America, sensitive and bearded.
