Amy Poehler has a new movie in the works. Deadline reports that Universal Pictures has bought a pitch for a movie called Schooled, which will be written by Burning Love creator Erica Oyama and produced by Amy Poehler through her production company Paper Kite. The film – which Poehler is not yet attached to appear in – will follow “the lengths a high-school teacher will go to gain the respect she feels she deserves.â€
Poehler next appears on the big screen opposite Tina Fey in the Paula Pell-written comedy Sisters, and she also will star opposite Will Ferrell in The House. Behind the scenes, Poehler is an executive producer behind Broad City and Difficult People, and she is set to produce and star in Balls co-written by Ike Barinholtz.
