Colin Jost has left his job as a head writer on Saturday Night Live! He’s still staying on at SNL, both as a writer and behind the “Weekend Update†desk. The change was reflected in the end credits of Saturday’s episode, which credited only SNL vets Rob Klein and Bryan Tucker as head writers; Jost’s name was included among the rabble of regular writers. The move will allow Jost to focus on “Update,†though we’re sure to get all the answers in an oral history published 15 years from now.
