When The Good Dinosaur comes out in theaters November 25, Pixar will also release another animated short to accompany it: “Sanjay’s Super Team,†a seven-minute film about an Indian-American kid who comes to appreciate his father’s devotion to daily puja, a prayer ritual. Sanjay likes cartoons! But his dad just wants him to do boring prayers! But little does he know that there’s a big, magical world out there. The film is a personal one for the director, Sanjay Patel, who told the Los Angeles Times, “If I could, I would go back to the 1980s and give my younger self this short. I want to normalize and bring a young brown boy’s story to the pop culture zeitgeist.†Here’s a first look at the short:
