Supergirl viewers will finally get a glimpse of the Man of Steel next year — with the caveat that he’ll be much more Superboy than Superman. According to TVLine, CBS is currently searching for a young actor to play Kal-El in a series of flashbacks on the show, with the requirement that he have “future leading man looks,†which is a phrase that can sound almost nefarious if you think about it too long. In case you’re counting, there hasn’t exactly been a Superman drought, as this future-hot tween will be the fourth different actor to play Superman over the past ten years, so hopefully he won’t have to quench that much thirst.
