The soft whispers in your ear were true: James Foley is taking control of the Fifity Shades of Grey sequels, Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed starring Jamie Dornan as Christian Grey and Dakota Johnson as Anastasia Steele. The Wrap reports that Foley, who is taking the franchise over from Sam Taylor-Johnson, will be shooting the films back-to-back with enough time for a quick catnap in between sessions. Hopefully this time there won’t be as much fighting between author E.L. James and the director. James’s husband, Niall Leonard, will adapt the books, so ideally the material that filters onscreen will be rawer and uncut. As with the first film, which released itself into the world on February 13, the sequels will come out around that same special time of the year. Fifty Shades Darker is scheduled to come out on February 10, 2017, and Fifty Shades Freed about a year later, on February 9, 2018, which is long enough to make your insides practically contort with potent, needy, liquid desire.
