Liam Neeson will play Deep Throat, but only in the least scandalous interpretation of that sentence: THR reports that Neeson has signed on to star in a biopic of W. Mark Felt, the former FBI associate director who in 2005 revealed himself as the pornographically nicknamed source who blew the Watergate cover-up wide open, creating a scandal that the American public found hard to swallow. The project will be directed by Peter Landesman, who also headed the upcoming Concussion, and like much of Neeson’s post-Taken work, it’s described as “a spy thriller†in which Neeson’s Felt is tugged between his conscience and his loyalty. To prevent jokes like the ones above, the movie will simply be called Felt.
