Mark and Jay Duplass Are Writing a Book of Essays

The Duplass brothers have a new book in the works. According to Variety, the two have signed a deal with Ballantine Books to publish a collection of essays, which is slated for a 2017 release. The untitled collection will “be an exploration of the messiness and awkwardness of life, charting the journey of the brothers’ lifelong collaboration, beginning when they were kids with a movie camera in New Orleans. The brothers will wrestle with what it means to be a good friend, husband, father, and brother, and what it’s like to collaborate so intimately with a sibling that you love but sometimes want to murder.†The two also have a four-movie deal with Netflix as well as a two-year deal with HBO, with their new animated series Animals set to debut in February.
