Following London’s menswear shows, fashion insiders migrated to Florence last week for the grand spectacle of the menswear fair Pitti Uomo. The biannual event is the largest gathering of men’s brands in the world, which means it’s also perhaps the world’s largest gathering of peacocks. And in typical fashion, this season’s street-style crowd did not disappoint. There were patterned scarves, caramel fedoras, and plaid and houndstooth jackets. There were shearling coats, a few bright-yellow socks, and so, so many beards.
