Adele wasn’t always Adele, world-dominating, foulmouthed diva. (Okay, she probably always swore.) Once upon a time, she was just widdle Adele Laurie Blue Adkins from Tottenham, brought up by the River Lea. And in all her hometown glory, she, too, went through a phase where all she wanted for Christmas was her two front teeth. Just look at her! On Friday, Adele officially released the Tobias Jesso Jr.–penned “When We Were Young†as 25’s second single, sharing with it the most adorable, toothless photo of Yung Adele you’ve ever seen:
And if you happen to take a casual stroll ‘round London, you might even come face to face with baby Adele. Just like you always wanted!
What’s more is, even though the live version of “When We Were Young†has been out since before the album, you can finally stream the official version. You know, just in case you’re one of the 8 million people here who hasn’t heard it yet. Here it is on Spotify; go stream it and make mini-Adele proud.
