Maya Rudolph and Martin Short’s in-the-works NBC variety show is officially happening. According to The Hollywood Reporter, NBC has picked up a variety show produced by Lorne Michaels and starring Rudolph and Short called Maya and Marty in Manhattan. The series – which will be similar to Rudolph’s previous variety show and include “a blend of musical numbers, comedy sketches and celebrity guests†– will debut sometime in May and air live episodes from 30 Rock in New York.
