In real life, Abbi Jacobson is a more successful artist than her Broad City character (remember that time Abbi got her drawing onto the walls of a sandwich shop?), having published two adult coloring-books, on New York City and San Francisco. And now, she has a new illustrated book, Carry This Book, which will explore the real and imagined contents of the bags and pockets of real and imagined people. It’s a great premise that you will immediately wish is not pretend. Wouldn’t you want to know what essential items were in Jennifer Lawrence’s Oscars purse? Or what snacks Tina Fey carries in her sensible cross-body handbag? Carry This Book will come out October 11. Maybe you can dress like it for Halloween, you weirdo.
