Oliver addresses Trump’s proposed wall point-by-point, from its estimated cost of around $25 billion to Trump’s claims that Mexico will pay for it to the complications of building a wall by the Rio Grande to the fact that it won’t stop most illegal immigrants from entering the country anyway: “The crime rates among immigrants once here are relatively tiny digits, which is something Donald Trump should frankly understand given that he has ten of them attached to his miniscule wrists.†Instead, Oliver proposes we use the $25 billion to buy something else that will give Americans that same sense of “warm sense of satisfaction inside†and is also much more delicious.
