You probably thought the upcoming R-rated animated film Sausage Party, the passion project from Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, was going to be a one-note sex joke movie. Ha, no, it’s actually about humans murdering and eating food! Humans slicing up, boiling, grilling, and masticating sentient, screaming pieces of food until they die. Yum! Conscious, pain-receptive hot dogs writhing inside a human mouth, possibly even your mouth, begging for mercy as you grind their corpses into a bolus. Delicious! Anyhoo, the new red-band trailer above looks pretty funny, so take a look as you work your way through your late night snacking. The first red-band trailer is below, or, if you’re a bit more squeamish and prefer a trailer in which an Irish potato doesn’t actually curse, so is the green-band version. (But don’t be deceived, this film seriously, seriously isn’t for kids.) The formidable group of Rogen, Kristen Wiig, Jonah Hill, Bill Hader, Michael Cera, James Franco, Danny McBride, Craig Robinson, and Paul Rudd all lend their voices.
