We have a clock over there that’s warning me to shut the fuck up and play some songs.” LCD Soundsystem then broke into the classic closer to Sound of Silver, “New York, I Love You But You’re Bringing Me Down,” into which they spliced a couple of bars from fellow Coachella performers Guns n’ Roses’ “November Rain.” The gray-haired Murphy, who wouldn’t look out of place at the proposed classic rock mega concert the Coachella masterminds are working on, also did his best Bowie baritone when the band covered “Heroes.”
