You know what’s missing from most red carpets? Endless sunshine. But at the Cannes Film Festival — the annual event that brings Hollywood royalty, runway veterans, and socialites from every corner of the world to watch movies and party on yachts — the sun is abundant, making good shades a significant element of any beauty look.
Everyone wins when they’re at Cannes, but this year especially, Susan Sarandon and her sunglasses seemed to reign supreme. There are still several more days to go (the festival officially ends on the 22) but click through the slideshow below to see the best beauty looks so far, including Sarandon’s lipstick and eyewear, Julia Robert’s ear cuff and distressed hair, and one instance of a Cannes-worthy choker.
