Here’s a great segment from last night’s Full Frontal, where Samantha Bee takes on a legislator she’s targeted before – Georgia State Senator Renee Unterman. This time around, Unterman signed a law that gives taxpayer dollars to federally funded “crisis pregnancy centers,†which are just anti-abortion clinics in disguise that trick pregnant women and, as Bee puts it, are “really full of toxic bullshit.†To help drive the point home, Bee is joined by Patton Oswalt for an Orson Welles parody that gives a more detailed look at why a “crisis pregnancy center†is nothing but a very misleading illusion. “Actually, tricks and illusions are fun,†Oswalt says, “but crisis pregnancy centers are just plain assholes.†Considering all the good that came after Full Frontal called out Renee Unterman last time, it should be interesting to see how this segment is received in her state and beyond over the next few days.
