The thing about filming a Dubsmash is that you have to sit through a series of very long pauses during which you (Jimmy Fallon) and/or your Dubsmash buddy (in this case, Academy Award-winner Penelope Cruz) assembles their props, records themselves silently mouthing along and then resituates themselves to show you the results. Dubsmash is an art form, and much like watercolor, printmaking and sculpting, perhaps it is best left for when you and your friends aren’t filming in front of a live studio audience.
