Adele Cordially Invites Her Critics to ‘Suck My Dick’; Tony Visconti Sort Of Apologizes

You never know what Adele will do or say in the middle of a performance, and now Tony Visconti is wholly aware. In a recent interview with The Daily Mirror, the veteran producer (perhaps best known for his longstanding work with David Bowie) took aim at the singer, saying that “we know Adele has a great voice, but it’s even questionable if that is actually her voice or how much has been manipulated.†He also touched on the current state of pop music as a whole, noting that “you turn the radio on and it’s fluff; you are listening to 90% computerized voices.†Well, Adele seemingly got wind of Visconti’s comments, and as you’d imagine, she’s not too thrilled about them. Responding at a tour stop earlier this week, she hit back and told the audience: “Some dickhead tried to say that my voice isn’t me on record. Dude, suck my dick.†Touché.

Update: Visconti has issued an attempt at an apology to Billboard: “I’m sorry that what I said in regards to what’s being played on radio was misconstrued yet I cannot apologize for something taken the wrong way. If Adele has taken my comments as offensive that was certainly not my intent.â€
