Today in It’s About Damn Time: Beyoncé’s Lemonade has sold more than a million copies in the U.S. Per Billboard, that’s 1.051 million, to be exact, with last week’s 56,000 copies pushing Beyoncé over the threshold. Lemonade is Beyoncé’s sixth studio album, so naturally it’s also her sixth album to hit the 1 million mark. Still, Lemonade’s sales are particularly impressive, as the album was initially released as a Tidal exclusive. Beyoncé’s is one of only two 2016 albums to sell more than 1 million copies, the other being Drake’s Views. In total, Beyoncé’s solo albums have racked up sales of 17.2 million copies — certainly nothing to sneeze at.
