In honor of Donald Trump’s 70th birthday, The Daily Show correspondent Desi Lydic took to the streets of New York to collect birthday wishes for the Republican presidential candidate. Lydic, sporting a “Make 70 Great Again†party hat, carried around a man-sized “Grand Wizard†birthday card, allowing New Yorkers to take turns signing personal notes to the septuagenarian, or, in the words of some well-wishers, the “scumbag†and “savage.†Security stopped Lydic from delivering the gift to the birthday boy’s golden palace, Trump Towers, but hopefully he got to see the very special rendition of “Happy Birthday†that closed out the segment. The singers took great liberties with the lyrics, creating their own song in multiple languages, because we all know how much Trump loves foreigners.Â
