Diggy’s moving up in the world. Kiersey Clemons has joined the cast of DC’s Ezra Miller–led Flash, where she’ll play Iris West, a journalist and friend of Barry Allen (the Flash’s alter ego). This marks a reunion between Clemons and director Rick Famuyiwa, as the pair worked together on Dope. You might also know Clemons from her work in Extant, Transparent, or most recently, Neighbors 2 — so get on watching those if you haven’t so you can feel superior to your friends after The Flash comes out. Candice Patton plays Iris in the CW’s take on The Flash, but it’s unlikely she and Clemons will ever meet up onscreen or anything, though we’re already writing fanfiction about them getting coffee and dishing about their co-stars.
